There is a new condo coming to downtown Nanaimo, estimated completion is late 2019 (somewhat ambitious)- this is great news for the downtown core which is hungry for density. The project is expected to be about 61 units or so- I'm not 100% on that, but very close to- with a mix of live work on the ground floor, and regular market housing floors 2-4. This project is positioning its two upper floors as the 'luxury' floors so the finishing materials will be slightly more extensive all the way up to roof top decks with gas fireplaces and outdoor kitchens! This really is something Nanaimo hasn't seen yet- a tasteful condo project, in a great location, with ocean views and strong, well capitalized group behind it.
